Data Collection

What We Collect

The App collects only the information you explicitly provide:

Reflection Responses Mental state, body state, sleep quality, and other check-in data you choose to enter.
Check-in Times Your preferred times for morning and evening reflections.
Notification Preferences Whether and when you'd like to be reminded to reflect.

Personal identification
Location data
Device identifiers
Usage analytics
Health data (HealthKit)
Contacts or photos

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is transmitted externally.
  • Data is saved using iOS secure storage (UserDefaults)
  • Data is encrypted by iOS standard device encryption
  • Data never leaves your device
  • Data is not synced to any cloud service
  • Data is not accessible to us or any third party

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone.

On-Device AI Processing

SleepSense uses Apple's on-device machine learning frameworks to provide personalized insights. All AI inference happens entirely on your device.

Your reflection data is processed by CoreML models running locally. No data is sent to external AI services.

Data Retention

  • Data remains on your device until you delete it
  • You can delete individual reflections from History
  • You can delete all data from Settings → Data & Privacy
  • Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all data

You have complete control over your data:

View all your data within the App at any time.

Export

Download your data as a text file.

Delete

Remove individual or all reflections.

Portability

Export and save to your Files app.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App contains no in-app purchases, advertising, or social features.
